AREABOYS
For AREABOYS, I designed the graphics used across the apparel, helping shape the brand through a bold and recognizable visual language.
Alongside the apparel, I also conceptualized and directed an editorial shoot in Kraaiennest. The idea was to revisit a neighborhood that is often associated with a negative reputation, and instead show it from the perspective of the people who grew up there and know it as home.
I chose to have the shoot photographed on film to bring a sense of warmth, intimacy and nostalgia to the images. The final work was photographed by Nkeiru Ofor and was later exhibited at Museum Van Loon.
